Right here is an extremely cool Mustang that looks as if it stepped right out of 1965. In the summer of 1964, Ford introduced the Mustang, which then initiated the 'Pony Car" segment of the car market characterized by distinctive characteristics of a long hood and short deck. The introduction of the car proved to be immensely popular, provoking a whole host of competition from cross-town rivals such as GM and Chrysler. The standard interior features of the 1965 Mustang included adjustable driver and passenger bucket seats, an AM radio, and a floor-mounted shifter in a variety of color options. This Mustang comes equipped with a standard "C" code 289 C.I. V8 2V with a 4-barrel carburetor. The power from the 289 gets to the 2.80:1 rear end through a 3-speed C-4 "Cruise-O-Matic" automatic transmission. The factory 8-code "Springtime Yellow" paint looks absolutely stunning laid out over an incredibly stunning body, and is sure to turn heads up and down the street. The Interior Décor Group, which this car has, was popularly known as "Pony Interior" due to the addition of embossed running ponies on the vinyl seat fronts, and also included integral armrests, woodgrain applied accents, and a round gauge cluster that would replace the standard Falcon instrumentation. In addition, it is also extremely comfortable! As far as options go, this '65 is fitted with an updated vintage-style AM/FM/Cassette radio, a heater, a defroster, power steering, power brakes, a power interior-matching convertible top, adjustable mirrors and seats, and a dual-exhaust system. The car rides on some great-looking factory style Mustang steel wheels on some factory-spec whitewall tires that really complete the vintage Mustang look. This '65 runs and drives even better than it looks, and is just waiting to give its next owner a cruise back in time to 1965!
