This here is truly one of a kind. On the lot now is an absolutely gorgeous 1958 Chevrolet Corvette. In 1958, Chevrolet decided to keep up with the times by changing the styling of the 1st-Generation Corvette completely. As an era of Chrome and dual headlights was set in motion, the Corvette followed right along. The 1958 model year and the four that followed all had the exposed four-headlight treatment and striking chrome-toothed grilles, but a faux-louvered hood and chrome trunk spears were unique to the '58s. The interior and instrumentation were updated to reflect a late-'50s futurist style with sweeping lines and arching gauges. Just under 9,200 '58 Corvettes were made, and the '58 Corvette embraced the style of the times dramatically, bringing Chevrolet's interpretation of it to the cutting edge of design for the 1950s. The dramatic styling included a center stack for the analog clock, an integrated tachometer directly in front of the driver, as well as an AM radio and other controls. For the first time, seatbelts became factory-installed. This fantastic slice of the golden '50s comes powered by a correct 283 C.I. V8 paired to dual 4-barrel carburetors. The power from the 283 gets to the rear end's solid axle through a 4-speed manual transmission. The red and white two-tone paint has been repainted years ago and still looks beautiful from front to back. The interior is all original and reflects a sense of '50s futurism and optimism, as the sweeping lines and fantastic condition of the twin red bucket seats signify that this Corvette is ready to go at a moment's notice. Options on this incredible '58 include factory gauges (including a 160mph speedometer!), a factory tachometer, an AM working pushbutton radio, a factory removable hardtop, a black convertible top, a rear defroster, a heater + fan, a power antenna, and a dual exhaust system. The car rides on a set of fantastic wide whitewall tires on some factory-style steel wheels. This is an incredibly rare opportunity to own one of the most iconic cars ever built, period. If you're looking for a piece of history so special that it's difficult to accurately put down in words, then this exquisite 1958 Corvette is the example of rolling iron you're looking for.
