This one here is sure to make you look twice. This stunning 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am really is a sweet ride! An original black on black car, this sweet Pontiac looks like it came straight out of Smokey and the Bandit. Following 1977's facelift that included four rectangular headlights, the 1978 model year Firebird was very similar to the previous year with the most major change being the switch from a honeycomb to a crosshatch pattern grille. This fantastic '78 comes fitted with a stock W72 6.6L (400 C.I.) Pontiac V8 paired to a Rochester 4-barrel carburetor. That power is connected to the rear wheels through a Hurst 4-speed manual transmission, giving this car a true performance feel. The adjustable black leather bucket seats are extremely comfortable for both racing and cruising! In addition, the factory black-on-black paint scheme works out beautifully with the gold-accented paint, as it is laid out glowingly over a laser-straight body. Options on this gorgeous '78 include an updated AM/FM/Cassette stereo system, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, factory gauges, a clock, and a dual exhaust system. The car rides on some sweet-looking 15x8 factory-style "Snowflake" Firebird wheels on top of some great Toyo blackwall tires. This stunning Firebird runs and drives just as wonderfully as it looks, and it is sitting on our lot waiting for the next owner to let it back on the boulevard!
